No. The Paddock is set up to tailor your sessions based on your experience and comfort level. The cars, the tracks, the simulator settings… can all be selected and suited to accommodate a complete novice to a seasoned professional.
Yes. Depending on your experience level or needs, our team will always be close by. You just need to focus on the driving part!
It can and will vary depending on the experience booked. In terms of actual driving sessions, in general it is better to have multiple sessions over a period of time (20-30 minutes) rather than one long session or a bunch of shorter sessions. Like any activity you will likely improve over each session as you have time to discuss with coaches, review and reflect before you get back in the cockpit.
If possible, comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. Because the Multimatic simulators are set up for realism, there is a physical element to driving the simulators as well, so you want to be comfortable. Footwear should be closed toe, and The Paddock also supply proper racing shoes for you to use if you arrive in dress shoes or boots.
The Multimatic simulators have excellent adjustability to accommodate a large range of driver sizes. Suggested minimum height is approximately 4’10” (147cm); while we have had drivers as tall as 6’6” (198cm) able to drive comfortably.
Very. The Multimatic simulators that The Paddock utilize are extremely immersive. The feedback… between the visual, steering torque, pedal feel, belt tensioning, engine sound… it all contributes to the perceived reality of the experience. While no simulator will replace the actual driving experience 100% (no matter what the simulator marketing gurus tell you!) this is as close as you can get without hopping into the real thing.
Most drivers are fine. However, in some cases; especially the first-time driving; mild discomfort (usually stomach) can be experienced. This usually fades as your brain and body adjusts to the simulator. We also have a few little ‘tricks’ to help combat any feelings of motion sickness.
A lot! It really depends on the event size. Between the lounge area and the simulator room the actual barn can comfortably hold 30-40 people. With 8 simulators available; and with rotating sessions and team splits; events can be designed accordingly. April thru October also offers outside availability to further expand the group size potential.
Yes. We offer the ability to rent the lounge and the property exclusively. Please contact us directly for details.
Nope. You can destroy your Porsche or Ferrari as much as you want… we have ample parts supply.
